How to Get a Truck Driver’s License in Ontario?
Step 1: Meet Basic Requirements
To apply for a commercial license in Ontario, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid Ontario Class G license

Step 2: Get MTO Medical Exam Done

Step 3: Study for the Written Knowledge Tests for Class A or Class D and write the knowledge test at the DriveTest (no appointment needed)

Step 4: Enroll for Air Brake Course in Guelph at PHD Truck Driving School
Tip: Air Brake Course can be done before or after the knowledge test
Step 5: Complete MELT (Mandatory Entry-Level Training) for AZ

Step 6: Class A – Class D drive test booking
